Grealish: My dad will be buzzing!

Jack Grealish says his father will be delighted after his close-range goal opened the scoring and set City en route to a 3-0 win at Wolves.

It was Grealish’s first goal of the season and it came after just 55 seconds of the game at Molineux. 

And the midfielder says it will have impressed his dad, who has been encouraging him to get in the box and score some tap-ins.

“I didn’t actually realise it was only 55 seconds until someone just told me,” Grealish said.

“I thought it was about five minutes! It must be the quickest I’ve ever scored. 

“My dad says it to me every single day, ‘try and get in, Jack, for the little tap ins’.

“So my dad will be buzzing I got a little goal like that.

“For me, it’s nice to get off the mark for the season. But to get three points here is great because this team [Wolves] is underrated.”
