Grant Williams has career night vs. Giannis, Bucks in Game 2
The Boston Celtics took care of business vs. the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 2, and they couldn’t have done it without Grant Williams.
The 23-year-old was the X-factor in the C’s 109-86 victory. He finished with a career-high 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting (6-9 3-PT) and five rebounds off the bench. He also was a team-best +22.

As great as his offensive numbers were, Williams’ contributions on the other end of the floor may have been even more important.
Williams played stellar defense on Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks star had 28 points but shot just 11-for-27 from the floor with six turnovers. It was a long night for the Greek Freak against Boston’s tandem of Williams and Al Horford.
Jaylen Brown (30 pts) and Jayson Tatum (29 pts) starred in Tuesday night’s win, but Williams’ career night made the difference. He’ll look to carry that momentum into a pivotal Game 3 in Milwaukee.
Celtics-Bucks Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET. Coverage begins at 2:30 p.m. with Celtics Pregame Live right here on NBC Sports Boston.
