Grammy Awards shifts to March, K-Pop fans react

Music lovers and others woke up to the news of the much-awaited Grammy Awards that were to be held on January 31, shifted due to the ongoing pandemic. As per reports, the 63rd Academy Awards ceremony, will now take place on March 14 at Staples Center. Los Angeles County, owing to Covid-19 concerns. Host and comedian Trevor Noah will host the 2021 Grammys, where Beyoncé is leading contender with nine nominations. As the news of the postponement went viral, fans of BTS Suga aka Min Yoongi found a reason to share a happy reaction. They took to Twitter to express how Yoongi’s birthday and the Grammys were in the same month. One wrote: ‘The grammys are postponed until march. yoongis birthday is in march. y’all the stars are aligning’. Another added: “Grammy Awards rescheduled to Yoongi’s birth month? VEeerrrRY interesting! @BTS_twt”

OTHER AWARDS SHOWS THAT HAVE BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO THE PANDEMIC:

  • Oscars Awards 2021 ceremony shifted to April from February.
  • The Golden Globes, scheduled for January, to now take place on February 28.
