A social media influencer has shared an emotionally charged Christmas message to her one million Instagram followers after appearing in court for the trial of her ex-boyfriend who has been accused of murdering his own mother.

Gracie Piscopo, 26, uploaded a photo of herself and her son Romeo, 3, sitting in front of a Christmas tree wrapped in each others arms.

In another image the toddler is seen wearing a Santa hat with the photo captioned: ‘My everything’.

The mother-of-one shares Romeo with her crypto-currency trader ex, Andre Zachary Rebelo, 26, who remains behind bars after he was charged last month with allegedly murdering his mother Colleen Rebelo at her home in Bicton in May 2020.

His case was heard in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court last Wednesday where Rebelo’s defence barrister, Tony Elliott, claimed he had not seen any evidence from prosecutors over the murder charge, according to The West Australian.

The Prosecution said it had not received information from WA Police who have told them its ‘arriving’.

Initially, Ms Rebelo’s death was not deemed suspicious as she had no obvious signs of injury.

But an investigation into her son’s alleged fraudulent dealings led to murder charges being laid.

On top of the murder charge, Rebelo is also facing five charges of forging a document with intent to defraud.

Court documents show Rebelo is accused of forging medical records relating to his mother including information requests, a death certificate and her final will.

Details surrounding how the documents were allegedly forged, as well as the motive for forging the will remains unclear.

Police have alleged the last will and testament for Ms Rebelo was falsified just days after her death.

Rebelo’s case for his murder charge will be heard again in March of next year while the forgery offences will be heard next December.

The charges against Rebelo have shocked the countless fans of his former girlfriend who has one million Instagram followers, and 307,000 subscribers to her YouTube channel.

Piscopo remained tight-lipped about the charges but broke her silence earlier this month to express her utter shock over the allegations.

‘I’d like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding for my absence,’ she wrote.

‘For the past two weeks, I have been in a complete state of shock and utter disbelief, and I am deeply affected by the events that have unfolded.

‘I am grateful for everyone who has reached out and sent love and support, this has been an extremely difficult time and my focus right now is the wellbeing of my son.

‘Thank you to everyone for also understanding and respecting the need for privacy, Romeo and I will get through this.’

Piscopo and Rebelo dated for eight years and weren’t engaged.
