GOT7 members to leave JYP Entertainment but Mark says ‘nothing is coming to an end’

All the members of K-pop boy band GOT7 have made the decision to leave their agency, JYP Entertainment, after their exclusive contracts expire this month.
An exclusive report by Korean media outlet Dispatch on Jan. 10 stated that JB, Jackson, Mark, Jinyoung, BamBam, Youngjae and Yugyeom have decided not to renew their contracts with JYP Entertainment and go separate ways. The 35th Golden Disc Awards will be their last activity.The report added that GOT7 members are very close but failed to reach an agreement on the agency and in the end, they decided to split.
Jinyoung will be joining actors’ agency BH Entertainment to begin his career as a full-fledged actor.
Yugyeom, as previously reported, is in talks to sign up with AOMG label founded by Jay Park while Youngjae is reportedly joining Sublime Artist Agency.
BamBam will be active in Thailand and Korea simultaneously and he is reportedly thinking of joining MAKEUS Entertainment.
Mark will return to America and spend time with his family in LA. He is planning to open a personal YouTube channel and consider solo music activities in the US, the report added.
Jackson works in China and Korea. His global activities are handled by Team Wang and for his Korean activities, it will be handled by an agency but the report did not mention any possible name. JB’s agency was not mentioned in the report.
After the report came out, Mark assured fans that they will continue to be together.
“The past 7 years have been the best years of my life. Nothing is coming to an end, just the beginning. The seven of us are going to continue to bring you guys the best version of us till the end. #GOT7FOREVER,” Mark posted on Twitter.
