COWHER WAS THE PLACE TO BE TODAY AS THE BENGALS ROLLED IN FOR PHASE ONE OF THE OFFSEASON TRAINING PROGRAM. IT’S VOLUNTARY WORKOUTS ONLY. HOWEVER, IT IS WORTH NOTING THAT A COUPLE OF GUYS WERE NOT IN THE LOCKER ROOM TODAY, LIKE WIDE RECEIVER TEE HIGGINS AND LINEBACKER LOGAN WILSON. BOTH OF THEM WAITING ON CONTRACT EXTENSIONS. ALSO MISSING WAS TACKLE JONAH WILLIAMS. OF COURSE, WILLIAMS REQUESTED A TRADE LAST MONTH AFTER THE BENGALS SIGNED FREE AGENT LEFT TACKLE ORLANDO BROWN. IF WILLIAMS WERE TO STAY PUT HERE IN CINCINNATI, HE WOULD LIKELY BE IN A COMPETITION AT RIGHT TACKLE. HEAD COACH ZAC TAYLOR WOULD NOT COMMENT ON IF HE HAS SPOKEN WITH WILLIAMS RECENTLY. HE SAID HE’S KEEPING THOSE CONVERSATION AS PRIVATE. AS FOR THE REST OF THE O-LINE THAT WAS PRESENT TODAY, THEY DID NOT MINCE THEIR WORDS ABOUT THEIR GOALS AND GOALS AND AS FAR AS IT GOES. SO I WILL GO CHECK IN ON IT. AND YOU KNOW, NO MATTER HOW MUCH MONEY I MAKE, THAT’S NOT NECESSARILY MY GOAL. YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN? LIKE, I’M IN THIS FOR SUPER BOWLS. I’M IN THIS FOR ALL. I MEAN, THIS ALL WAS I MEAN, TO HAVE THE BEST OFFENSIVE LINE IN THE WORLD. AND THAT’S WHAT MEANS THE MOST TO ME. AND TO BE ABLE TO HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO SUIT UP FOR THIS FRANCHISE, TO SHOOT UP BLOCKING FOR GUYS LIKE NINE, YOU KNOW, THAT’S WHAT’S MOST IMPORTANT TO ME. AND THE BENGALS WILL HOST LOCAL PLAYERS AT THEIR ANNUAL PRAEGER SOFT WORKOUT TOMORROW, 31 DRAFT ELIGIBLE PLAYERS FROM THE REGION HAVE BEEN INVITED TO THE EVENT INSIDE PAY COURSE STADIU
