GOOD Morning Britain viewers were in hysterics today host Richard Madeley went “full Alan Partridge” with his bizarre comment about Hitler.
The 65-year-old was reflecting on a debate about Shamima Begum, who said she was just a “dumb kid” when she joined ISIS in Syria and insisted she doesn’t need rehabilitating.

Richard Madeley was described as being like TV character Alan Partridge
“There’s one interesting point that I was thinking about last night,” Richard told his co-host Susanna Reid.
“Obviously we had the Nuremberg trials after the war and we hanged quite a few Nazis and we imprisoned a lot of others and let them out eventually.
“But we didn’t go after the Hitler Youth, as far as I’m aware.
“We didn’t go after the Hitler youth, we only went after adults who served in the Hitler regime.

“That’s just something to reflect on I think.”
He added: “Anyway thanks for all your responses. I don’t know what I think about it, it’s so difficult.”
The moment prompted a huge reaction on Twitter, with one saying: “Richard Madeley having yet another Alan Partridge moment with his Nuremberg trials, Hitler Youth statement, this guy cracks me up.”
Someone else said: “From Mansfield hillbillies to Shamima Begum in the space of two minutes. And then Richard Madeley goes full Partridge once again. ‘I was thinking about this last night – we didn’t go after the Hitler Youth?'”
Another commented: “There is so much crossover between Richard Madeley and Alan Partridge that you forget who said what.”
Someone else added: “Richard Madeley likening Shemima Begum to Hitler youth is too much to take in before 8am.”
A viewer said: “Full Partridge for @GMB burble merchant Richard Madeley and Nuremberg Trial hangings for Hitler Youth children and ISIS kids. Profound in its daftness. Time for Change.”
It’s not the first time viewers have drawn comparisons to TV’s cheesy comic character Alan Partridge.
Some of his past gaffes include cutting off a cabinet minister mid-flow, swearing live on air, telling a Britain’s Got Talent golden buzzer act consisting of schoolchildren that their performance “wasn’t perfect” and turning up for work looking like an Oompa-Loompa.
Reacting to being compared to the calamitous Norfolk-based DJ, Richard previously told The Sun: “If people want to take the p**s, that’s fine. It’s a harmless joke.
“I can take it. I don’t take myself even remotely seriously. I know some people do, and they get offended by being teased — but it’s only teasing.”

Jihadi bride Shamima, 21, fled Britain to join the militant group in 2015, when she was 15, but insists she was not a terrorist.
She is currently being held at Al-Roj prison camp in Syria after she was stripped of her UK citizenship.
The Londoner recently spoke in a new documentary, The Return: Life After ISIS, claiming she and her friends were recruited online.

In her latest interview, Shamima told journalist Andrew Drury: “I don’t think I was a terrorist. I think I was just a dumb kid who made one mistake.”
Shamima was defeated in her legal battle to return to the UK for a court appeal over the removal of her British citizenship earlier this year.
The Supreme Court uninamously ruled in favour of the Government and said Shamima cannot come back to the UK for a court case to reclaim her British passport for the safety of the public.
