Good Morning Britain was forced to cut an interview with Defence Secretary Ben Wallace short today after his WiFi connection connection completely froze.

The Tory MP had been appearing in an air hangar while he was due to speak to hosts Susanna Reid and Adil Ray on the ITV programme.

Susanna and Adil had been about to question MP Wallace on reports that Boris Johnson “said he’d rather see bodies pile high in thousands” than do 3rd lockdown.

As Susanna asked him about the rumoured remark, the Tory MP was just about able to say: “Yeah Susanna can you tell me who’s actually said this.”

However, the Defence Secretary’s words were very slurred and fractured with the connection.

“No I can’t tell you – this is in the Daily Mail, it’s according to a source,” Susanna replied.

However, the Tory MP froze on screen, prompting Adil to say that they would try to disconnect and reconnect with him.

GMB then went to Andi Peters, who presented his competition segment, before going to an ad break.

When they returned, Susanna and Adil spoke to actor Clarke Peters, baffling viewers as to whether Wallace would be back.

However, he did eventually return and spoke outside instead and went on to deny the claims, insisting that the prime minister was “not a cruel person”.

“I think he has done a particularly good and hard job,” he insisted.

Yet Susanna took issue with that and pointed out that there had been issues last year, with the government “acting too late” and questioning why they wouldn’t conduct a public inquiry.

Wallace insisted that there was a “flip side” and said that he should be “commended” for the vaccine rollout.

“The statistics speak for themselves when it comes to the rollout,” he added.
