Giants vs. Seahawks score: Live updates, game stats, how to watch, stream, odds for ‘Monday Night Football’
Seahawks #Seahawks
The Seahawks, despite losing starting quarterback Geno Smith to an injury, took a 14-3 halftime lead over the Giants on “Monday Night Football.”
Smith, whose six-yard touchdown pass to DK Metcalf gave Seattle a 7-0 lead after one quarter, exited the game in the second quarter after injuring his knee. With Smith out, backup Drew Lock came in and extended Seattle’s lead after hitting former Broncos teammate Noah Fant on a 52-yard completion. The big play set up Kenneth Walker III’s one-yard touchdown run with 1:39 left in the half.
Seattle’s first score was set up by Mario Edward Jr.’s strip sack of Giants quarterback Daniel Jones during the final minute of the first quarter. In a defensive-dominated first half, Seattle held New York’s offense to just nine first downs and 155 total yards. The Giants offense clearly misses Saquon Barkley, who is missing his second straight game as he continues to deal with an ankle injury.
The Giants’ only score came courtesy of Graham Gano’s 55-yard field goal with 3:05 left in the first half. The field goal capped off a 12-play, 61-yard drive that saw Jones complete each of his seven pass attempts. A sack by Seahawks cornerback Devon Witherspoon led to the Giants settling for a field goal.
