The crowd was pumped for Melbourne Cup day at Flemington as the temperature topped 30 degrees.
It was a stark contrast to last year where we had 13.2 degrees and pouring rain.
Instead, this year as the sun blazed down one of the day’s main fashions items proved to be a good quality hat, and there were certainly a few decent ones out there.
So, as we celebrate the hottest Cup in almost 50 years, we applaud these punters for having at it and making our crowd “highlights” reel for 2023 …
