New York Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole will look to remain consistent on Tuesday when he takes on the Seattle Mariners at Yankee Stadium in New York. Cole has surrendered just four earned runs and three walks across his last three starts, all of which resulted in six innings of work. He has 19 strikeouts over that stretch with just one home run allowed. While he’s surrendered five runs in three of his 15 starts, the perennial Cy Young contender has kept the damage to two earned runs or fewer in his other 12 starts this season. All told, the right-hander sports a 2.75 ERA and a 26.4% K% on the season, a figure that could see a boost against a Mariners offense that sits 28th with a 25.6% K% against right-handed pitching this season.
