Genshin Impact: The Best Weapons For Traveler

One of the most known facts in Genshin Impact ever since it started is that the Traveler’s performance is always underwhelming. To the fanbase’s surprise, Sumeru introduced an excellent Dendro MC that can cover the field with their Lea Lotus Lamp, spreading Dendro all over the battlefield in Genshin Impact. Of course, the other Elemental Travelers are not weak, it’s just there are better characters out there that can do their jobs, especially if players put in the time to build these characters. So to perform better, the Traveler should be built properly

What makes the real difference in a character build is what weapon they’re carrying. Since there are Anemo, Geo, Electro, and Dendro Travelers out there, it’s important to know which are the best weapons for each of them.

Best Weapons For Anemo Traveler In Genshin Impact

Anemo Traveler doesn’t need offensive weapons in Genshin Impact. People can either use Anemo MC with the typical ATK/Anemo/Crit, or Energy Recharge and Elemental Mastery. So any weapon that grants one of these stats is most probably a good fit. Other than the listed weapons, players can also opt for swords like Freedom-Sworn, Primordial Jade Cutter, Mistsplitter Reforged, and Skyward Blade.

Iron Sting

  • Primary Stat: 510 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 165 Elemental DMG
  • R5 Effect: Dealing Elemental DMG increases all DMG by 12% for 6s. Max 2 stacks. Can only occur once every 1s.
  • Iron Sting’s 165 Elemental Mastery immediately puts the Anemo Traveler in a better position in their party since most Swirls now deal more DMG. There’s nothing better than a Support that can still inflict some decent DMG.

    Favonius Sword

  • Primary Stat: 454 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 61.3% Energy Recharge
  • R5 Effect: CRIT hits have a 100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 6s.
  • As an Anemo character, the Anemo Traveler has access to shredding enemies’ resistance to the Element they Swirl with and such Supportive ability is valuable in Genshin Impact. Favonius Sword adds another Supportive ability to the Anemo Traveler by giving them the ability to regenerate their team’s Energy. Other than that, having an extra 61% Energy Recharge on the Anemo Traveler makes their Elemental Burst easier to refill and cast.

Best Weapons For Geo Traveler In Genshin Impact

It may be surprising to some players, but the Geo Traveler can really wreck some high DMG. So it’s best to buff their offensive stats. Apart from the two included, Crit and ER weapons like Primordial Jade Cutter, Summit Shaper, Skyward Blade, and The Black Sword are all great options.

    Mistsplitter Reforged

  • Primary Stat: 674 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 44.1% CRIT DMG
  • Effect: Gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for all elements and receive the might of the Mistsplitter’s Emblem. At stack levels 1/2/3, Mistsplitter’s Emblem provides a 8/16/28% Elemental DMG Bonus for the character’s Elemental Type. The character will obtain 1 stack of Mistsplitter’s Emblem in each of the following scenarios: Normal Attack deals Elemental DMG (stack lasts 5s), casting Elemental Burst (stack lasts 10s); Energy is less than 100% (stack disappears when Energy is full). Each stack’s duration is calculated independently.

Mistsplitter Reforged is a great sword for any character that wants to deal DMG during combat and Geo Traveler is just the unit for that purpose. When wielding Mistsplitter Reforged players need to make sure the Geo Traveler Energy is not full by continuously casting their Burst. It’s really this easy to maintain Mistsplitter Reforged’s stacks.

    Festering Desire

  • Primary Stat: 510 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 45.9% Energy Recharge
  • Effect: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 32% and Elemental Skill CRIT Rate by 12%.
  • For a F2P choice, Festering Desire is a decent weapon that enhances the Geo Traveler’s Elemental Skill. Since most of the Geo Traveler DMG comes from their Skill, it’s a great addition to their kit.

Best Weapons For Electro Traveler In Genshin Impact

Since the Electro Traveler greatly depends on their Energy Recharge to operate as a battery in Genshin Impact, it’s crucial to maximize this stat.

    Skyward Blade

  • Primary Stat: 608 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 55.1% Energy Recharge
  • Effect: CRIT Rate increased by 4%. Gains Skypiercing Might upon using an Elemental Burst: Increases Movement SPD by 10%, increases ATK SPD by 10%, and Normal and Charged hits deal additional DMG equal to 20% of ATK. Skypiercing Might lasts for 12s.

Electro Travelers can effectively regenerate their team’s energy when they cast their Elemental Burst. Skyward Blade can match this strategy because the sword increases their Energy Recharge.

    Sacrificial Sword

  • Primary Stat: 454 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 61.3% Energy Recharge
  • Effect: After dealing damage to an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 80% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 16s.
  • For a full battery build, the best sword for the Electro Traveler is either Favonius or the Sacrificial Sword since both add a whopping 61% Energy Recharge.

Best Weapons For Dendro Traveler In Genshin Impact

Just like the Anemo one, Dendro Traveler mostly depends on their Elemental Mastery stat alongside a bit of Energy Recharge.

    Freedom-Sworn

  • Primary Stat: 608 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 198 Elemental Mastery
  • Effect: Increases DMG by 10%. When the character wielding this weapon triggers Elemental Reactions, they gain a Sigil of Rebellion. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 2 Sigils of Rebellion, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain “Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance” for 12s. “Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance” increases Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG by 16% and increases ATK by 20%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Rebellion for 20s. Of the many effects of the “Millennial Movement,” buffs of the same type will not stack.

Freedom-Sworn grants the Dendro Traveler some high amount of Elemental Mastery. This is super effective for the Dendro Traveler’s kit since it gives them the ability to deal more DMG with their Dendro Elemental Reactions in Genshin Impact. With that increased DMG, Freedom-Sworn also adds more Supportive abilities to the Dendro Traveler by making them able to buff their team’s DMG and ATK%. For non-spending players, then Sacrificial Sword is also great for a Sub-DPS Dendro MC.

    Sapwood Blade

  • Primary Stat: 565 Base ATK
  • Secondary Stat: 30.6% Energy Recharge
  • Effect: After triggering Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon, a Leaf of Consciousness will be created around the character for a maximum of 10s. When picked up, the Leaf will grant the character 120 Elemental Mastery for 12s. Only 1 Leaf can be generated this way every 20s. This effect can still be triggered if the character is not on the field. The Leaf of Consciousness’ effect cannot stack.
  • Sapwood Blade is one of Sumeru’s forgeable weapons in Genshin Impact. The F2P sword doesn’t really benefit the Dendro Traveler that much stat-wise, but it gives them the ability to enhance their main DPS Elemental Mastery by 120. This effect can be crucial when the Dendro Traveler is teaming with characters that count on their EM to inflict DMG, such as Tighnari in Genshin Impact. For other support options, people can also use Favonius Sword to enhance the team’s energy regeneration.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
