Gators earn crystal ball predictions for OT target after official visit
CRYSTAL #CRYSTAL
Charles Herbert Flowers High (Upper Marlboro, Maryland) offensive tackle Mike Williams was one of several official visitors that stopped by the University of Florida over the weekend.
The Gators appear to be at the top of William’s recruitment following the visit, and a trio of 247Sports recruiting reporters is confident enough in the match to submit crystal ball predictions in favor of UF on Sunday. Florida insider and Swamp247 contributor Blake Alderman was the first to submit his pick. National recruiting analyst Brian Dohn and director of football recruiting Steve Wiltfong followed shortly after.
Alderman submitted his pick with the highest confidence of the bunch (seven out of 10), while Dohn and Wiltfond came in at a six. Williams has family in Florida, and the homecoming pitch is appealing after playing high school ball in Maryland. Florida’s dual-coach approach on the offensive line is also a pro for Williams.
Florida linebacker commit Myles Graham expressed confidence in the work he’d done over the weekend recruiting Williams, among other players in town.
“We made good progress with Chance Robinson, Michai (Boireau) from Creekside and Mike Williams,” Graham said to 247Sports.
A consensus three-star recruit at the moment, Williams is ranked No. 100 among offensive tackles in the class of 2024 and No. 1,345, according to the On3 composite.
