It is, however, a new injury for Trent who has been ruled out with back spasms, the team announced Friday. He had been listed as questionable with right elbow stiffness before being ruled out by the team.
Trent had been trending in the right direction, it seemed. He was seen shooting around during practice earlier in the week and Toronto had been hopeful a few extra days off would allow him to return for Friday. It’s unclear if he is over his elbow injury or not but the back spasms appear to be a new concern.

With Trent sidelined, expect Jeff Dowtin Jr. to once again see playing time off the bench. He’s been a solid contributor for the Raptors’ second unit and should spell Fred VanVleet Friday.
Toronto will also be without Dalano Banton and Will Barton who had both been listed as questionable. Joe Wieskamp is available to play off the bench.
The 76ers are at full strength.
