Neville has a long-standing feud with the Arsenal fanbase, and he’s often accused of being too harsh on the club.
Mikel Arteta was furious with the referee’s decision to give Anthony Gordon’s goal in Newcastle’s 1-0 win against the Gunners on Saturday.
The decision was checked by VAR for three different incidents but it was decided that there was not sufficient evidence to chalk it off.
Arteta described the decision as ’embarrassing’ and ‘an absolute disgrace’ in an astonishing rant at the officials during his post-match interview.
But Neville disagreed, and said the decision was correct to let the goal stand.

That has angered an already angry fanbase, and Neville’s X inbox was full of supporters saying he should no longer get to commentate on Arsenal games.
One Arsenal fan went further, by saying the club should ban him from the Emirates as it is ‘their property’.

But, in a response that is sure to sting Gooners, Neville said there’s no need to ban him as he’ll be visiting table-topping Tottenham more in future.
‘To be fair with Spurs top now we will be coming less anyway,’ said Neville.
