Gary Neville criticises Barcelona yet again

Gary Neville has once again lashed out against Barcelona.

The former Manchester United player has used his social networks to speak out against the Catalan side.

“[Frenkie] De Jong should consider taking legal action against Barcelona and all players should get behind him!” Neville posted on Twitter.

“A club spending fortunes on new players without paying those under contract their full money is immoral and an offence.

“FIFPRO should stop this bullying and put a stop to it.”

What he objects to are the transactions involving Barcelona, who want Frenkie de Jong’s sale or a wage cut. The midfielder’s departure would be an economic rather than a sporting issue, as the Catalan side will have to pay the Dutchman a large sum of money over the four seasons remaining on his contract.

A few days ago, the president of the Catalan side made a statement about his possible sale.

“He is our player, we like him a lot. We received some offers for Frenkie, but we don’t accept them for the moment, we want to talk to him and find out exactly what he wants. We need to clarify some aspects of his situation,” Laporta declared.

Last Friday, Gary Neville also lashed out at the Catalan side, posting another comment about their economic situation.

“It’s a desperate club with a 1.3 billion euro debt selling future revenue streams to spend on players in the ‘hope’ that it will pay off. It’s like rolling the dice on a giant club. Why does Barcelona keep chasing the Super League? Here’s why!”
