Gareth Southgate has finally announced his final 26-man squad for this summer’s Euro 2020 and there have been seven big names left out from the provisional 33.

Jesse Lingard, James Ward-Prowse, Ollie Watkins, Ben Godfrey, Aaron Ramsdale and Ben White miss out on selection, with Southgate making the decision to take four right backs.

For Southgate, this is the squad he believes has the best chance of being crowned champions at Wembley in July. But do you agree? Let us know in the comments here.

Many will be shocked at the exclusion of Jesse Lingard, with his form on loan at West Ham being incredible for the latter half of the season.

The exclusion of Ben White and Ben Godfrey will not be a surprise to many as it was believed Harry Maguire would be fit for the tournament, Bukayo Saka earning a place after debates as to whether Southgate would pick the Gunners star.

Mason Greenwood’s early rule out through injury left space upfront for some others to get a chance, but Southgate’s choice of ten defenders has meant less room for spaces further up the field.

All is to play for and Southgate will now have to figure out who works best together as the full squad slowly come together following the Europa and Champions League finals.

All eyes now turn to who will be in his starting 11 against Croatia and with most of the Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea players thought to be missing, giving many England fans to possibly see Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham in the starting lineup.

Do you think Harry Maguire makes the starting 11? Will Tyrone Mings get a game? Has Southgate made the right calls? Let us know in the comments below.
