Tottenham forward Gareth Bale has admitted he ‘knows’ what his future holds, but will not reveal the details out of a fear of causing ‘chaos’.

Bale, who is set to return to parent club Real Madrid now the season is over, rounded off the campaign in style after netting a late brace in the victory against Leicester.

However, as questions begin to mount once again over his next move, Bale was coy and refused to give a definitive answer.

Asked by Sky Sports whether he has made up his mind, Bale told Sky Sports: ‘It will have to happen after the Euros.

‘I know what I’m doing. It will just cause chaos if I say anything.’

It is understood that Tottenham hold a first refusal option over another loan deal for Bale, as reported by Sportsmail this month.

The clause allows the club to keep the Welshman for a second campaign on the same terms, although the move would also require Bale’s agreement.

There is also little hope of Bale holding an important role at Madrid next term, despite Zinedine Zidane’s uncertain future, and the LaLiga outfit are likely to sell.

Bale arrived back at Tottenham for his second spell to much fanfare and, despite enduring a poor first half of the season, has gone on to impress in north London.

He will have an important choice to announce over the coming weeks, though, with Euro 2020 beginning next month.

‘I’m not thinking about anything else other than Wales,’ Bale added.

The question marks hanging over his head have sparked wild speculation, with a report from AS in Spain even claiming that Bale will return to Madrid and retire.

It is said that Bale will see out the final year of his contract at the Bernabeu and, before the age of 33, choose to hang up his boots for good.

Bale’s entourage declined to comment on the report when contacted by Sportsmail.
