The National Hockey League will awaken from a four and a half month coronavirus-induced slumber today with three exhibition games featuring some of the league’s most heated rivalries.

First up, at 4 p.m. ET, is the Pittsburgh Penguins versus the Philadelphia Flyers from Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. The game will be broadcast live on NBCSN.

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens will face off in prime time at 8 p.m. ET on NHL Network with the Buds donning road sweaters in the match-up against its old-time Original Four rival.

Keep it on NHL Network for the 10:30 p.m. ET night cap, which features Battle of Alberta combatants, the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames, with the Flames getting to wear its home sweaters in the home building of its hated rival.

The Florida Panthers will play its one and only exhibition tune-up against the Tampa Bay Lightning tomorrow at noon before they open the best-of-five series against the New York Islanders on Saturday.
