Gabby Agbonlahor has slammed Kai Havertz for ‘doing nothing’ and says one of Chelsea’s new signings already looks ‘fed up’ at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea’s dismal run continued on Sunday as Graham Potter’s side were beaten 2-0 by London rivals Tottenham.
The Blues have only won two of their last 16 games in all competitions to slip to 10th in the Premier League, 14 points behind fourth-placed Spurs.
Former Aston Villa captain Agbonlahor says Chelsea’s squad need to ‘pull their finger out’ and ‘stop blaming’ under-fire manager Potter, who is already facing calls to be sacked less than six months after his appointment.
Agbonlahor is particularly concerned by Germany forward Havertz, who he says is ‘doing nothing’ for the team, and says new signing Enzo Fernandez is already showing signs of frustration at Chelsea.
Chelsea made Argentina World Cup winner Fernandez the most expensive signing in Premier League history in January, signing him in a £107m deal from Benfica.
‘Some of the body language from the Chelsea players is really poor,’ Agbonlahor told talkSPORT. ‘Even Enzo Fernandez looks a bit fed up with his team-mates.

‘These players just look like they’re lacking confidence and chemistry. Look at Kai Havertz. I mean, he’s seen off two managers.
‘He’s not doing anything. He’s not a number nine, he’s not a number 10, he’s not holding the ball up, he’s not scoring goals.
‘Some of these players need to pull their fingers out and start putting in performances and not just blame the manager.’

While Potter is struggling to get a tune out of his huge Chelsea squad, the ex-Brighton boss has received backing from fellow Premier League manager Thomas Frank.
‘I’m convinced that, over time, he will find that solution,’ Brentford’s Frank said. ‘First and foremost, he’s a very good man.
‘Secondly, he’s a very good coach and it’s proven that he can do a good job. A good coach can work at every club.

‘This is not against Chelsea. It’s just that sometimes the circumstances create an environment where it’s difficult to get everything to just click.
‘There’s a lot of new players, the team isn’t in sync, trying to find the right balance of players. A lot of players have been in and out [of the team].
‘If I were to give advice then it’d be ‘trust himself’ because he’s more than capable of turning this around – trust himself and the guiding principles that have made him very successful and gave him the opportunity to be the Chelsea manager.’
