People who want to get checked for the coronavirus before spending time with loved ones can still get a free test ahead of the holidays.

Community Labs, a San Antonio nonprofit, is offering tests from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve and on New Year’s Eve at the the AT&T Center; Cuellar Community Center, 5626 San Fernando St.; and Ramirez Community Center, 1011 Gillette Blvd.

This week, the AT&T Center testing site also will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday. Testing at the Cuellar and Ramirez community centers is available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Next week, the AT&T Center testing site will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Dec. 30. The Cuellar and Ramirez community centers will be open the same days, but the hours will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

All locations are closed from Christmas Day through Sunday, and on New Year’s Day through Jan. 3.

The tests — offered through a partnership with the city of San Antonio — are self-administered and return results in 24 hours. Neither appointments nor proof of insurance are required.
