Frank Warren has said he will be appealing the result of Daniel Dubois’ world title clash against Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday night.
The Ukrainian dropped his British opponent twice before the fight was stopped in round nine, as Usyk held on to his unified WBA, WBO and IBF world titles.

But, there was controversy in round five, when Dubois appeared to drop Usyk with a body shot, but it was ruled a low blow by the referee.
Usyk then took more than three minutes to recover before the fight continued and the Ukrainian went on to win.
After seeing the replay, however, it seemed that the punch may have landed on the belt line rather than below it and there was some suggestion that Dubois was ‘robbed’ of victory.
And one person who certainly held that opinion was Dubois himself, as he said in his post-fight interview: “I don’t think that was a low blow.
“I think that landed and I’ve been cheated out of victory tonight. What else can I say?”
Meanwhile, Dubois’ promoter Warren was furious, as he revealed that he would be appealing the fight’s result, telling talkSPORT: “He won that, if he had been allowed to carry on, he would have won.
“We will appeal this. It’s a liberty.”
And Dubois’ coach, Don Charles, could not agree more, as he said: “We got conned out of that.”
