Former Tar Heel Rashad McCants says KD will end his career better than LeBron

Lebron #Lebron

The GOAT basketball debate typically revolves around two players – former Tar Heel Michael Jordan, plus current Los Angeles Laker LeBron James.

Jordan is argued as the greatest pure scorer to ever walk this earth, while James is considered the best shot-creator and all-around player. Jordan was a perfect 6-for-6 in NBA Finals tips, while James had the advantage of playing directly out of high school.

According to Rashad McCants, another former Tar Heel (2002-2005) who played five years in the NBA, says there is another current NBA star who should be considered in the GOAT conversation – Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant.

Early on in the interview, McCants says that KD will go as better than LeBron – when both their careers are. McCants also argues that if Durant stayed in Oklahoma City, his legacy would be greater.

If we’re talking active players alone, LeBron tops Durant by a mile. The former is a 19-time NBA All-Star, 13-time All-NBA First Team member, plus he’s won the NBA MVP Award, NBA Finals and NBA Finals MVP four times each. Oh – did we mention he’s an unoffical general manager, too?

If Durant had as many championship as LeBron, there’s a stronger argument. Durant is taller, can play more position and is the better pure scorer. Durant won the NBA Finals in 2017 and 2018 with the Golden State Warriors, plus he is a 13-time NBA All-Star and 6-time, All-NBA First Team member.
