ABERDEEN have sacked manager Jim Goodwin after a horrific run of results.
The former Republic of Ireland player suffered an awful week and was given axe following Saturday’s 6-0 Scottish Premiership defeat at Hibernian.

Goodwin who was capped once at full international level against Finland was already under massive pressure following an embarrassing 1-0 Scottish Cup defeat at sixth-tier side Darvel last Monday.
And his fate was met following the thumping today against Hibs at Easter Road.
Prior to today game some Don’s fans made their feelings clear before the game after unveiling a banner that read ‘Goodwin out’.
The Scottish club announced the41-year-old’s departure just 19 minutes after full-time whistle.
A club statement read: “Following an unacceptable run of results since the World Cup break, the club confirms it has parted company with Jim Goodwin and first-team assistant manager Lee Sharp with immediate effect.”

Now Aberdeen are on the hunt for their fourth manager in two years after the departures of Goodwin, Glass and Derek McInnes since 2021.
