Jacqui Smith told a journalist to “shut up” during a discussion over the Brexit deal struck by Rishi Sunak and Ursula von der Leyen.
In a heated conversation, the former Labour home secretary directed the comment towards Isabel Oakeshott.
“I thought you were all about civility in politics,” the broadcaster said.
It comes as the Windsor Framework – the deal to reduce checks on goods travelling from Great Britain to Northern Ireland – was hailed as “historic” by the EU Commission president
