Former Indianapolis Colts director of team development Brian Decker has joined the front office of the Carolina Panthers.

Decker has been working in the front office for the Colts since 2017, coming along when Chris Ballard took over as general manager. He’s been heavily involved in the process of player acquisition, especially when it comes to the analysis of a player’s character.

A former Green Beret, Decker will be holding the role of vice president of development with the Panthers as he joins former Colts head coach Frank Reich in Charlotte.

Decker also was heavily involved with the Colts head coaching search, a process that took over a month and resulted in them landing former Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Shane Steichen.

While the Colts are busy filling out their staff under Steichen, Decker will be joining the Panthers front office in a big role.
