Former Bengals WR Chad Johnson goes viral during boxing debut

Former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver and current team ambassador Chad Johnson just held his own in the squared circle during his pro boxing debut.
Fighting on the undercard of the pay-per-view event headlined by Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul, OchoCinco sparred with Brian Maxwell in a marquee matchup.
Johnson, as expected given what he showed during his pro NFL days, showed off some stellar footwork and even landed a few shots before ultimately going viral by getting knocked down — but popping right back up.
Always the showman even after the loss, Johnson told onlookers after the match the following: “I don’t box. I’m a little sloppy. It was fun…I think I’m ready for McGregor.”

None of this should come as a surprise — while prepping for this fight, Johnson told reporters if Tim Tebow can make a comeback, he could probably make the Bengals right now, too.
