A cool start around Southwest Florida but this afternoon our warmth returns as we wait for additional rain chances late tomorrow.
FORECAST:
Good morning Southwest Florida! We are waking up to a temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s this morning which is below our average of 57 degrees for this time of year. So you will need a light jacket early as you head out to start the workweek. This afternoon lots of sunshine and we will warm up with high in the upper 70s which is right at our average of 77 degrees for this time of year. It is going to be a gorgeous day. Overnight we will see a few clouds with lows a little warmer sitting around 60 degrees.
Our next chance of rain comes Tuesday as another cold front moves through the area. The storms Tuesday should happen after sunset and continue overnight before we dry out on Wednesday. Another front will move through Thursday into Friday and this one is a strong one. We will wake up Christmas Eve morning in the low to mid 40s and Christmas morning low 40s with upper 30s in the northern part of the viewing area not out of the question. Highs Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be in the mid 50s as the coldest air of the season arrives in time for the holidays.
As we head through the next few days and get closer to the weekend we will be able to dial in the weekend temperatures a little more.
