Football: Waldwick continues season-opener dominance, defeats Glen Rock

Waldwick moved to 5-1 in its last six games against Glen Rock following a 26-0 victory in Glen Rock. Waldwick has also continued its dominance in season-openers as it recorded its fifth straight shutout and averaged 37 points in its previous four.

Despite going into halftime scoreless, Waldwick opened up the scoring in the third quarter with a 30-yard touchdown catch from Charlie Schierolh. Alex Caserta added a one-yard score before Schierolh recorded a 65-yard touchdown catch to give his team a 19-0 lead with 3:01 in the third.

Bryce Hamilton capped the scoring in the fourth with a 63-yard touchdown run.

The last time these two teams met, Waldwick defeated Glen Rock 50-7 in the North 1 Group 2 quarterfinals in 2021.
