Rashford looked furious when a foul was given against him
But fans on social media picked up on a clumsy moment from the 25-year-old in the second-half.
After hearing the whistle blown for a foul on Wilfried Boly, Rashford crouched to the floor in disbelief, before kicking the ball away and inadvertently hitting an Old Trafford ball boy on the touchline.
While he did pick up a yellow card for his troubles, it was a moment that summed up Rashford’s day in front of goal.
The forward had been hoping to find the back of the net at Old Trafford and had his opportunities to do just that, but failed to get himself on the scoresheet.
However he did manage to lay on two assists for his teammates, teeing up Christian Eriksen early on in the game, before winning the penalty that Bruno Fernandes converted.
While Man United were 2-0 down after just four minutes, Erik ten Hag’s side showed character to fight back to a 3-2 victory, their second win of the Premier League season.
