The Florida Gators got tripped up in Week 2 of college football in its Southeastern Conference opener against the Kentucky Wildcats. The SEC East rival entered the Swamp an underdog both in the betting odds as well as the polls, but ultimately emerged with a gut-punch 26-16 victory — their second-straight win over UF in as many years.
It was a disappointing loss but it is now time to turn the page. Next up on the docket are the South Florida Bulls, who will close out the Gators’ three-game homestand to start the schedule. After a tough pair of opening opponents, the Orange and Blue will finally get a chance to play a team that it should have a significant upper hand on.

Florida has won both matchups prior, first back in 2011 and then last season, which were played at home and away, respectively. It appears the bookmakers are extremely bullish on the home team making it three in a row this weekend.
The lines
Today, the Gators are favored by a 24.5-point spread over the Bulls according to BetMGM. Here are the full odds as of 10.20 a.m. EDT Monday.

Prediction
Florida has had this brief series on lockdown and there is no reason to believe that will change this weekend. Expect Anthony Richardson to look much sharper against a team he absolutely torched last season and for the defense to stymie the opponent.
Florida 45, USF 17
