A woman who was found dead in a Philadelphia hotel room on Monday with a sock in her mouth has been identified as Diana Ramos, the Philadelphia Police Department announced Thursday.

Ramos, 66, an American Airlines flight attendant, was found by housekeepers on Monday evening at a Marriott hotel at the Philadelphia airport, according to reports. She was supposed to check out of the hotel two days before she was discovered, investigators told ABC’s local affiliate Action News.

The death was considered “suspicious” by authorities from the beginning, and was being investigated as a potential homicide detectives, the Philadelphia Police Department told PEOPLE on Thursday.

Police found no weapons at the scene, and no arrests were made, the department said.

“Everybody is still trying to figure out what happened and why her crew just left her,” a source who works as a flight attendant for American Airlines told PEOPLE, noting they learned the woman’s crew was Los Angeles-based.

“A lot of moving parts and questions right now,” the person added, “Very sad.”

Prior to the identification of Ramos as the victim, American Airlines issued a statement to PEOPLE: “We are devastated by this news. Our thoughts are with the family and colleagues, and we’re doing everything we can to ensure all affected have the support they need during this difficult time. We will continue to cooperate fully with local law enforcement in their investigation,” the statement said.
