Gaudreau #Gaudreau

It was a big welcome back for Johnny Hockey.

The Calgary Flames played a touching tribute video for Johnny Gaudreau’s first game back at Scotiabank Saddledome as a member of the Columbus Blue Jackets.

In the first period, Gaudreau had an opportunity for a penalty shot, but he missed wide.

While fans cheered at Gaudreau’s missed opportunity and gave him the business when he had the puck, they also cheered loudly for him after the tribute video was played in the arena.

Both teams tapped their sticks as Gaudreau stood and raised his stick to the crowd.

The video was filled with highlights, both on and off the ice, from Gaudreau’s first nine seasons with the Flames, his only NHL team until he signed with the Blue Jackets as a free agent this offseason.
