FIRST WARN FORECAST: A warm Wednesday, highs in the low 70s!

Happy Hump #HappyHump

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Happy hump day! Today is going to be a perfect day to be outside. Once again, temperatures are in the low 70s across a lot of the region! If you are having the sniffles, the pollen count has been increasing over the last several days with today being the highest (still not high on the graph but for this time of year it is high), so don’t forget the allergy medication before heading out.

Overnight a cold front will move through bringing a slim chance for showers to areas south of I-70 early Thursday morning, but most areas should stay dry. The cold affects the area from the front will be slightly cooler temperatures on Thursday and Friday, but daily highs stay 15 degrees above the average. This morning you may need a lightweight jacket as temperatures are cool but it will be warming up again this afternoon with a few more clouds.

This weekend looks gorgeous with daily highs in the mid 60s Saturday and low 70s on Sunday!

Spring Temps(KCTV 5)

Monday temperatures will be 25-30 degrees above average with some areas tapping close to 80 degrees. One model does want to pick up on a more active pattern starting next Tuesday night into Wednesday with rain showers and maybe snow showers on the back end of the system. If this pans out it looks like the cold winter air will be here before you know it at the end of next week.
