The ABC has predicted Labor will win the Federal election saying “Anthony Albanese will be the 31st Prime Minister of Australia”.
“While Labor is yet to have a clear majority in parliament, ABC Chief Election Analyst Antony Green says it will be able to form a government in minority at the very least,” the ABC reported.
And it appears WA has been the State to hand Labor a majority government.

At 7.40pm, WA was seeing a 10 per cent swing across the board with safe seats such as Canning and Tangney too close to call.
The West Australian’s Lanai Scarr reports Kate Chaney was leading in the seat of Curtin on 51 per cent.
Labor Senator Katy Gallagher says the party can thank Premier Mark McGowan for the large amount of female Labor voters.

“Obviously there is the Mark McGowan effect and the fact that Anthony spent a lot of time there and we launched our campaign there,” Gallagher said.
“He has done a lot of work there over the last term, but I think we should also credit the candidates themselves.
“I think it is really interesting, the strength of the women across the board and how they are doing, including in the teals when you look at them, largely female candidates.
“In the seats where we (Labor) are doing well, including in WA, some really fantastic community candidates, and they are women. I think there is a strong… Clearly a strong female vote in the campaign tonight.”
