Fans say Liam Gallagher ticket prices take the p*** as extra dates added due to huge demand

Tickets for Liam’s Gallagher’s hugely anticipated UK tour have gone on general sale this morning with queues of up to 30,000 people. Due to the high demand, an extra date was added after just thirty minutes with the singer now set to perform four shows at Manchester’s Co-op Live next year.

The general sale tickets to Liam Gallagher’s ‘Definitely Maybe 30 year’ tour became available at 9am today with fans eager to bag their seats. The tour will see Liam perform in Sheffield, Cardiff and London before heading to Manchester’s newest arena Co-Op Live for four huge homecoming shows on June 15, 16, 27 and 28 June.

The star announced the tour at the start of the week, saying: “I’m bouncing around the house to announce the Definitely Maybe Tour. The most important album of the ‘90s bar none. I wouldn’t be anywhere without it and neither would you, so let’s celebrate together LG x”

As expected, demand was high and by 9.15am some ticketing sites be already warning that there was “limited availability” left for many of the UK dates. However, it was the ticket prices that really got people talking.

After making it through to the seat selection page, a number of fans took to social media to post screenshots of the prices for standing and seating from different venues. While prices started from £53.30 for seated for some venues, there were also seated options available for £108.20 and standing at £86.20.

@Tgee92 wrote on Twitter: “F*** me the prices of Liam Gallagher tickets. It makes you wonder if oasis did get back together what their price would be.”

Another, who shared the same prices for seated and standing wrote: “Ticket prices for Liam’s definitely maybe face value, just a p*** take, get yourselves down your local independent venue see great bands decent beer and don’t have to sell a kidney to buy a ticket.

“It’s getting out of hand now STD tickets should be no more than 50 quid max with booking fees (now don’t get me started on that.”

A third wrote: “Have you seen the price of Liam Gallagher tickets?? Would only be worth that price if you could get to the gig in a Time Machine back to 1994.”

Prices for Liam Gallagher’s dates at Manchester’s Co-op Live were also shared online this morning. Seated options ranged from £54.50 to £110.70, while standing is was available for £88.50 each.

Others urged Liam Gallagher to “sort it out” and shared a crying emoji, before sharing a screenshot of the premium ticket prices for the singer’s gig at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield. The image shows a premium ticket and arena club experience priced at £300.

The tour will be the first time Liam has played Oasis’ Definitely Maybe album in full – celebrating 30 years since its release. He will play its iconic tracks like Live Forever, Slide Away, Rock ‘n’ Roll Star and Cigarettes and Alcohol as well as a host of choice B-side tracks from that era.

The tour kicks off in Sheffield on 2 June 2024 and concludes on 27 June – the day before Glastonbury kicks off. It will stop off in Cardiff, London Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin, with tickets available for general sale on Ticketmaster.
