Fans seem to believe that ‘agent Aaron Ramsey’ completed his mission after the former Arsenal man cost Rangers the Europa League.
It was the Welshman’s saved penalty that sent Eintracht Frankfurt on their way to victory in a tense shootout where the German side did not miss a single kick. Rangers had taken them all the way in the final at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium on Wednesday night.
And on another day, it would have been the thousands of Glaswegians that had travelled to Seville this week that would be celebrating in the streets. But it would not be their year this campaign despite their best efforts.

Joe Aribo had put Gers ahead on the night after a mistake in defence allowed the Nigeria international to race through on goal and tuck past Kevin Trapp. However, Frankfurt came back with 20 minutes left.
Rafael Santos Borre scored a real poacher’s effort after getting into between the two central defenders to flick one past Allan McGregor. A winner could not be found, though, despite Ryan Kent’s chance deep into extra-time.
It meant that the dreaded penalties would have to separate the two teams when Ramsey, who came on especially for the shootout, stepped up and fluffed his effort. Seemingly caught in two minds, Trapp easily saved from the former Arsenal man’s weak shot while no one else missed on either side.

Borre, who had earlier scored the equaliser, was the man to net the winning penalty to go down in Frankfurt folklore in an incredible run where they beat Real Betis, Barcelona, West Ham and now Rangers to lift their first Europa League since 1980.
And fans reckon that Ramsey’s shocking penalty was something of an inside job, with one supporter saying: “Agent Ramsey doing the job come on.” Another tweeted: “Agent Ramsey welldone [sic].”
One particular fan was full of jubilance, saying: “AGENT RAMBOOOOO SAID HE HAD A BAD BACK. What a redemption arc from Aaron Ramsey.” He was not alone, with another following suit: “AGENT RAMSEY. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. COME HOME.”
Wales could potentially face Scotland next month to fight for a spot in the upcoming World Cup this winter. The Tartan Army face Ukraine in their play-off semi-final with the winner of that match taking on caretaker boss Rob Page’s men.
