Fans are all having the same hilarious reaction to Ryan Gosling as Ken in upcoming Barbie film

Obviously, we need to talk about those first look snaps of Ryan Gosling as Ken in the upcoming Barbie film. From the bleached hair (how Kim and Pete of you) to the inexplicably haunting stare, there’s a lot to unpack. But when the picture was first revealed fans all began sharing the same reaction, pointing out that Gosling’s Ken looks just like another blonde celebrity. We guarantee you’re not expecting this.

There are certain celeb moments that are always certain to send the internet into tailspin, from “Uncut Jaams” to Louis Theroux rapping. And this first look at Ryan Gosling as Ken in much-anticipated Barbie film is one of those moments. In the image, Gosling looks pretty, well, un-Gosling, with a bleach blonde quiff, a bright orange spray tan and branded ‘Ken’ underwear.

Sure, the look makes sense for the character, but the reaction from fans probably wasn’t what Warner Bros. were expecting, especially since similar look Margot Robbie images released earlier this year did not garner the same reaction.

Fans’ main comment is that not only does Ryan Gosling look totally unlike himself, but he actually looks a whole lot like controversial chat show host Ellen DeGeneres.

Okay, this is pretty funny… What’s not funny, however, is the fact that Barbie isn’t actually released until 21st July 2023. Which means we’ve got over a year of jokes to come. Sorry, Ryan and Ellen.
