Ethan Gosen scored a hat trick, including a pair of goals in the second half, to help Freeland fend off West Branch Ogemaw Heights for a Division 3 boys soccer district semifinal win Tuesday.
The Falcons improved to 11-8-2 with the 6-2 win, advancing to the district title game at 5 p.m. Thursday at Gladwin against the 18-1 Flying G’s. Gladwin defeated Bullock Creek, 2-1, in Tuesday’s other semifinal.
