Falcons vs. Packers score: Live updates, game stats, highlights, analysis for Week 2 NFC showdown
Packers #Packers
The Green Bay Packers are without three key offensive starters against the Atlanta Falcons, yet are more than holding their own in Week 2 as they hold a 10-9 lead at halftime.
Jayden Reed hauled in his first career touchdown catch, a nine-yard pass from Jordan Love, and the rookie wideout used his speed to get to the outside and over the pylon to give the Packers a 7-3 lead in the second quarter. Love hasn’t been spectacular like he was in Week 1, but has played turnover-free football to keep the Packers ahead. They’re playing without Aaron Jones, Christian Watson and David Bakhtiari in this one.
Atlanta used an 11-play, 75-yard drive to get back in the game after trailing 10-3. Bijan Robinson rushed for 13 yards on fourth-and-1 with under a minute left to set up the Falcons in the red zone, as Atlanta parlayed that into a Drake London touchdown to make it 10-9 (Younghoe Koo missed the extra point). Robinson has nine carries for 72 yards for the Falcons in just his second career game, while London has four catches for 39 yards and a touchdown.
The Falcons have been trying to target London and Kyle Pitts in this one, but a few poor Desmond Ridder throws have cost them opportunities to move the chains early in the game. Atlanta couldn’t capitalize on first-and-goal at the 1-yard line, failing to convert on three straight plays before settling for a field goal after a false start on fourth-and-goal. Ridder is 12 of 18 for 105 yards with a touchdown and interception, the first of his NFL career.
