Following a fourth-quarter touchdown pass by Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder, the team trailed by eight points to the Commanders in Week 6.
Atlanta opted for a two-point conversion instead of a field goal, hoping to cut the deficit to six points. Ridder missed Drake London on the two-point attempt, but the Falcons received a second chance following a Commanders penalty.
After running back Tyler Allgeier was stuffed short of the end zone, fans were baffled by the call. Smith was later seen looking frustrated with Ridder on the sideline after the QB threw a red-zone pick.
Falcons fans on Twitter went off on Smith for his questionable fourth-quarter decisions.
