FACTCO Bringing Gigabit Broadband to 3 Cheshire UK Villages
GBVS #GBVS
Network builder and UK ISP FACTCO has today announced that their new gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network is being extended to cover three villages in rural parts of Cheshire (England), including more than 1,000 properties across Crowton, Kingsley and Norley.
Construction of the new network, which is being supported by funding from the Government’s Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme (GBVS), started this month and the first customer connections are currently expected to go live during the Spring of this year. The vouchers provide grants worth up to £4,500 towards the cost of installing full fibre in a rural home or business.
Customers can normally expect to pay from £24.99 per month for a 100Mbps service on a 24-month term, which includes a free router and installation, while the top 1000Mbps package is just £44.99 per month. As an added bonus for those in the three villages, the first 6 months of service will be free.
Charli George, FACTCO Community Fibre Manager, said:
“Small communities are often poorly serviced and forgotten about by larger companies, that’s why we’re so excited to bring this village up to speed with full fibre services. An upgrade like this doesn’t just bring fast internet to homes, it unlocks opportunities for residents to stay connected with the virtual world we live in.”
End.
