EXO’s Baekhyun Breaks His Own Record As ‘Bambi’ Reaches Over 800,000 Pre-Orders

    According to a report from SM Entertainment, the pre-orders for Baekhyun’s third mini-album titled “Bambi” had hit a total of 833,392 copies Monday, a day before its official release. The singer reached this remarkable number of sales within 18 days as the pre-orders for the album began on March 11.

    Baekhyun set the record for the highest pre-order count ever achieved by the singer as a solo artist with “Bambi.” The 28-year-old EXO member broke his own record which was previously held by his second mini-album “Delight” that had reached over 732,297 stock pre-orders in May 2020.

    Along with being a member of EXO and the leader of SuperM, Baekhyun has successfully managed to establish himself as a talented solo artist. He has received immense praise and attention from all over the world with his incredible vocal abilities, visuals, and skills.

    Last year, the “Take You Home” singer became the first Korean solo artist in 19 years to earn the title of “Million Seller” with his second mini-album “Delight.”

    The album sold 1,018,746 copies on June 30, 2020, breaking the record which was previously held by veteran singer Seo Taiji, according to Allkpop. Baekhyun is also the first solo artist under SM Entertainment to achieve this milestone.  Moreover, “Delight” also received an official triple-platinum certification for its achievement in sales.

    Meanwhile, Baekhyun’s latest mini-album consists of six tracks including the title track which is also named “Bambi,” along with “Love Scene,” “All I Got,” “Privacy,” “Cry for Love,” and “Amusement Park.”

    The mini-album along with the music video for its title track was officially released on March 30 at 5 a.m. ET (6 p.m. KST). “Bambi” will be Baekhyun’s last album before he enlists into the army to complete his mandatory military service.
