Nancy Shevell McCartney and Paul McCartney, seen here in Paris in 2019, sometimes visited Palm Beach to see her late father, Myron “Mike” Shevell. Nancy McCartney was on the seller’s end of a just-closed $13.5 million private sale of her father’s lakefront condominium in Palm Beach.
A Palm Beach condominium owned for nearly 20 years by the late father-in-law of former Beatle Paul McCartney has sold for a recorded $13.5 million in a private deal, the Palm Beach Daily News has confirmed.
McCartney’s wife, Nancy Shevell McCartney, and her sister, Susan Shevell Cohen, sold the condo, No. 6C, and a guest suite in the lakefront Il Lugano building as personal representatives of the estate of Myron “Mike” P. Shevell, a trucking executive who died in January at 87.
On the buyer’s side was a Georgia limited liability company with an address in care of Atlanta-based ECI Capital, a development, construction and property-management company specializing in multi-family real estate. Seth Greenberg is ECI Capital’s CEO and Benjamin Engel is its chief operating officer and chief financial officer.
The condo at 300 Seminole Ave. on the near North End has three bedrooms and 2,895 square feet of living space, property records show. Mike Shevell had paid $3.3 million for the apartment in 2002, the year the luxury development was completed on the site of a former apartment building, according to courthouse records.
Condominium No. 6C and a guest suite just changed hands for a recorded $13.5 million at Il Lugano, a lakeside building in Palm Beach. The condo was owned for nearly 20 years by the father of Nancy Shevell McCartney, wife of former Beatle Paul McCartney.
Il Lugano is home to some of Palm Beach’s priciest lakefront condominiums. Until last fall, a condo there held a record as the most expensive apartment ever sold in Palm Beach — a double penthouse that changed hands privately in 2017 for a recorded $17.45 million.

Facing the Intracoastal Waterway, the development stands at the intersection of Bradley Place.
Paul McCartney, who was knighted in 1997, and his wife sometimes quietly visited Palm Beach to see her father, according to sources familiar with the family.
Nancy McCartney was born in New Jersey and at one point served as a vice-president of her father’s trucking company, The Shevell Group of Cos.

Paul McCartney co-founded and was co-lead singer and songwriter for The Beatles, and later co-founded the band Wings with his first wife, Linda McCartney, and Denny Laine.
Paul McCartney married Nancy Shevell in 2011, about three years after his divorce from his second wife, Heather Mills.

Mike Shevell first got involved in the trucking business when he joined the New Jersey company founded by his father and later was involved with several other transportation concerns. Those included New England Motor Freight, a division of The Shevell Group of Cos.
New England Motor Freight, which grew to be one of the country’s largest carriers of its type, in 2019 filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy along with 10 related subsidiaries, according to published reports. New England Motor Freight shut down in 2020, and the other subsidiaries were liquidated or sold.

Property records show former U.S. Ambassador to Hungary Nancy Brinker briefly owned the apartment before Mike Shevell bought it from her. Brinker, a Palm Beach resident, founded the breast cancer research organization that would later become Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Nancy McCartney’s mother, Arlene Shevell, died in 1991, according to published reports.
The 2017 record-setting sale in Il Lugano was eclipsed last November when an oceanfront penthouse at 2 N. Breakers Row in Palm Beach sold for $17.68 million, the price recorded with the deed. Since then, two townhouse-like condominiums in the Palazzo Villas quadplex on Brazilian Avenue have sold for recorded prices of $17.8 million and $18.6 million.
