Exclusive! Bholaa Fame Lokesh Mittal On Karan Johar, Ajay Devgn’s Direction Style: Ajay Sir Actors Par Bharosa Karte Hain

After garnering immense love and praise for his negative character in Farzi, Lokesh Mittal mesmerised us again in Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer Bholaa. In the film, he essayed the character of Deep Singh, who is a greedy and cowardly police cop.

Over the years, the actor has played small roles in films like Do Dooni Chaar and Kadwi Hawa, Lokesh got his breakthrough in the industry with Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan starrer Sui Dhaaga. In a recent interview with us, Lokesh shared a few interesting details about the movie, his character and Ajay Devgn’s direction.

Lokesh Mittal has previously worked with Ajay Devgn in Runway 34, and he reunited with the actor and director for Bholaa.

Experience working with Ajay Devgn’s directorial venture

On being asked about the experience of working with Ajay Devgn as he has directed the film as well, Lokesh Mittal told Times Now, “His vision is pretty clear. As a director, he knows what he wants, so it gets very easy when he explains to us that this is what he wants from the shot. Plus, he doesn’t interfere and ensures to take notes of the actor’s point of view which is different from the director’s..”

Karan Johar vs Ajay Devgn’s direction

Going forward he talked about the main difference between Ajay Devgn’s director and Karan Johar’s direction as he got a chance to work with both of them in Bholaa and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. He said, “I absolutely loved the experience with Karan Johar for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The only difference is that Ajay sir apne actors pe bohot bharosa karte hain, ye jo lekar aaraha hai ye better hai. Aur Karan sir ka ye hai ki, vo dono perspective ke saath kaam karte hai.”

Bholaa vs Dasara at box office

Lokesh Mittal also opened up about Bholaa clashing with Natural Star Nani’s Dasara at the box office. While interacting with us, he said “Har movie apni kismat lekar aati hai aur dusra ye hai ki Ajay Sir ki film hai and the Drishyam 2 has performed so well, toh mujhe aisa lagta hai koi competition nhi kar sakte hai hum. There’s no competition because both the films are way different.”

Talking about Bholaa, it is only the third Bollywood movie to hit the Rs 50 crore mark in 2023. After Pathaan and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, of course! Featuring Tabu and Deepal Dobriyal in lead roles, Ajay Devgn’s actioner is an official Hindi adaption of the 2019 Tamil-language film Kaithi.

Meanwhile, on the work front, he will be next seen in Tarla Dalal, headlined by Huma Qureshi. He has other projects lined up, including Control, Project Love and PMT.
