Ex-Jets QB Mark Sanchez bolts ESPN to become Fox Sports game analyst

Mark Sanchez has a new job on NFL Sundays.
The former Jets quarterback agreed to join Fox Sports’ broadcast team as a game analyst, according to the New York Post’s Andrew Marchand. Sanchez spent the last two years with ESPN. He will replace Chris Spielman in the booth and likely work alongside Kevin Kugler, per the Post.
Spielman left Fox for a front office role with the Detroit Lions.
Sanchez recently auditioned for a similar role with CBS. He has appeared on several ESPN programs since he retired in 2019. He is also an analyst for GOAT Farm Media, according to his Twitter bio.
The Jets drafted Sanchez fifth overall in 2009. He played in New York until 2012 and lead the Jets to the AFC Championship during his first two seasons. He finished with 12,092 yards, 68 touchdowns, 69 interceptions and a 33-29 record before the Jets released him in 2014.
Sanchez missed the 2013 season with a shoulder injury. He finished his career with stints in Philadelphia, Dallas and Washington.
