‘Eternals’ assemble in first teaser with Richard Madden, Angelina Jolie

May 24 (UPI) — Richard Madden, Angelina Jolie and more star in the first teaser trailer for Marvel’s upcoming Eternals film, which was released on Monday.
The clip gives a brief backstory on the Eternals, who came to Earth centuries ago and have helped shape the planet’s history without interfering in conflicts.
Madden portrays Ikaris, who appears to be in a relationship with Gemma Chan’s Sersi. Jolie wields a staff and armor.
The super-powered group also includes Salma Hayek as Ajak, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Lia McHugh as Sprite and Don Lee as Gilgamesh.
Kit Harrington, who starred alongside Madden in HBO’s Game of Thrones, also makes a brief appearance as Dane Whitman.
McHugh’s Spirite asks the team who will lead the Avengers after the passing of Captain America and Iron Man.
“I could lead them,” Madden’s Ikaris says before the group starts laughing.
Eternals, from director Chloé Zhao (Nomadland), is coming to theaters on Nov. 5.
