EP Jayarajan’s remark: Indigo airlines, K-Rail push ahead with innovate campaigns

Thiruvananthapuram: IndiGo airlines and K-Rail on Tuesday did not miss to make use of the political developments in Kerala.

While K-Rail backed LDF convener EP Jayarajan’s dig at the airline company that the SilverLine project will end the monopoly of IndiGo in speedy domestic travel service in the state, IndiGo felt the flights are still above railways.

After the LDF convener made his remark, K-Rail posted an image with a caption that read “Afterall, the train journey is safer.” K-Rail also pointed out that the railway system is way cheaper and environment-friendly. Meanwhile, IndiGo pushed ahead with its campaign by posting pictures of jets flying above railway lines.

Earlier, EP Jayarajan said that IndiGo airlines made a mistake by banning him from travelling on their airlines. He also asked the company to reevaluate its decision and revoke the ban

The ban came after concluding investigation into the in-flight protest incident on June 13 in a Kannur-Thiruvananthapuram IndiGo 6E flight. The company found Jayarajan and the two Youth Congress protestors violated the rules.
