Emphatic win with braces for Vini Jr. y Rodrygo

Vini #Vini

Real Madrid beat Valencia at the Santiago Bernabeu with a goal from Carvajal and four goals from the two Brazilian strikers.

Real Madrid thrashed Valencia in an attacking display at the Santiago Bernabéu. Carvajal opened the scoring with a thumping left-foot strike, before Vini Jr and Rodrygo netted a brace each. Ancelotti’s side head into the international break with a tenth LaLiga win, their fifth at home.

The game could not have got off to a better start. It took just three minutes for our team to take the lead. Kroos played a pinpoint pass from his own half to Carvajal, who, after controlling the ball and beating Gayá, curled a left-footed shot inside Mamardashvili’s left-hand post. Soon after, Alaba’s left-footed free-kick went just wide (6′). Two minutes later, Kroos came close to making it 2-0 when he hit the crossbar from a direct free-kick just outside the area.   An immense Lunin Valencia’s response was swift and came in the form of Hugo Duro. Twice (10′ and 15′) the striker was denied by the giant Lunin. First, the Ukrainian made a fine reflex save from a close-range shot and then, in a one-on-one, he denied the visitors an equaliser. Madrid regained the initiative and it was Vini Jr. who could have doubled their lead with a couple of dangerous moves. The first saw him beat Thierry to the by-line and cut back past Paulista in the six-yard box, but his shot was saved by Mamardashvili. He then combined with Rodrygo before heading towards goal, but his right-footed shot hit the side-netting.

In the 42nd minute it was 2-0. The goal was scored by Vini Jr, who chested down Rodrygo’s cross at the far post. Rodrygo came close to extending the lead before the break but missed the target by inches from a direct free-kick.

Brazilian display At the start of the second half, our team once again showed their attacking prowess. The two Brazilians were the stars of the show, and in less than two minutes the score went from 2-0 to 4-0. In the 49th minute, Vini Jr. collected a pass from Rodrygo in the final third, cut to the edge of the area and unleashed a right-footed shot that Mamardashvili could do nothing about. It was Rodrygo’s turn next. He intercepted a pass from the Valencia goalkeeper, cut inside the area and fired home with his right foot to make it 4-0.

Madrid continued to search for more goals. In the 77th minute, Lucas Vázquez combined with Carvajal in the area, but his shot was saved by Mamardashvili. Real Madrid were now in steamroller mode and Rodrygo eventually grabbed a well-deserved brace. Fran Garcia slipped a pass through to the striker, who cut inside Paulista before firing home with his left foot. Two minutes from time, Hugo Duro made it 5-1.
