Earlier this summer, former Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders reached out to current Denver receiver Jerry Jeudy and worked out with him at a local park.

“He just [messaged me] and said he wanted to come workout with me,” Jeudy said after practice on Aug. 24. “He sent me his location and I went over there and worked out. He was picking little details of my game and seeing how I run routes and things like that.

“I was learning a little bit from him as well. It was more of a, ‘What are you doing? Let’s go workout,’ type of thing really.”

Jeudy, Denver’s first-round pick in this year’s draft, will wear jersey No. 10, which was previously worn by Sanders when he played for the Broncos.

Sanders spent the first four years of his career with the Steelers before signing with Denver in 2012. He spent four and a half seasons with the Broncos and helped the team win Super Bowl 50 in 2015.

Sanders was traded to the 49ers last fall and helped San Francisco reach the Super Bowl. The 33-year-old WR signed with the Saints this offseason and will play against Jeudy in Denver on Nov. 12 (view the full schedule).
